Fallen Angels Project Grades
I will most likely not be able to enter in the grades for your projects until the week of March 15th; these are large projects that take a long time to grade. Be patient and I will keep you updated.
Easy Extra Credit Opportunity
We are currently running very low on tissues in the classroom. As a result of this need, I am going to offer 5 extra credit points to anyone who brings in a box of tissues to the class for use. You may bring a MAXIMUM of TWO BOXES of TISSUES for a TOTAL of 10 EXTRA CREDIT POINTS. You have until Monday, March 22 to do this, if you choose to participate in this opportunity.
Extra Credit Blog
There will be no extra credit blog this week. A new one will be posted on 3/7/10 if you choose to participate.
SAVING WORK AND THIRD QUARTER
THIS IS A REMINDER THAT AS STATED IN THE CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS AND BEHAVIORS THAT ALL STUDENTS AND PARENTS SIGNED AT THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR WHEN THE EXPECTATIONS OF THIS CLASS WERE EXPLAINED TO EACH OF YOU, YOU ARE EXPECTED TO SAVE ALL WORK FOR THIS COURSE COMPLETED ON THE COMPUTER; AT NO TIME SHOULD YOU DELETE ANYTHING. The document I am referring to has always (and is still) located under Class Files if you need to refresh your memory on this procedure. The computers you have are for academic purposes and have PLENTY of memory to save your work; you also have a P Drive on the school network to save all your work on as well. If you are unaware of how to save on the P Drive, please let me know, and I would be happy to walk you through the process.
Some of you are beginning to slack off or have gotten yourselves into a rut of taking short cuts; THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! THIRD QUARTER IS GOING TO BE THE MOST CHALLENGING QUARTER OF THE YEAR BY FAR (AS OF YET), AND YOU WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR YOUR ACTIONS. Be prepared to work and to work hard! Follow directions closely, be aware of expectations and deadlines, and most importantly act appropriately/responsibly at all times.
Blog Comments
Make sure that you have responded to each blog posting; the blog postings are located at the bottom of this website in the Discussion section. Be sure to read the directions CLOSELY. Your responses need to have proper punctuation, sentence structure, grammar, etc.
Points will be deducted if your response(s) is not written in the correct format. Also, remember to e mail your code name to me using your Gaggle e mail account.
English Supplies
The following is a list of basic supplies you will need for this course.
1. Writing Utensils (Pens or Pencils are acceptable)
2. Folder or Binder (Either are acceptabe)
3. Notebook or Loose paper (Either are acceptable)
4. Flash Drive/USB Drive (Optional but HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - no amount of memory is specified. This device is used to back up, transport, etc. files for class projects and assignments. It is quite possible to attain the grade of 'A' without this device, but it does make things easier for students.)
BACK TO SCHOOL
Welcome to the Springfield Clark CTC! I am looking forward to meeting you; we have a busy and exciting year ahead of us. We will start off the first week of school getting to know each other as well as the skills you are bringing from your associate school. Please let me know in advance if you have any medical needs, etc that I need to be aware of so that you can succeed in my classroom environment. Please feel free to stop by my room during the Open House or Three Day Orientation to make me aware of these issues or to simply introduce yourself.
